RESPONSIBILITY

DIBNI is responsible for its published knowledge content

DIBNI’s guides are intended to help businesses understand the information, activities, exposures and controls that may be relevant before an insurance introduction. They are not a substitute for advice from an appropriately authorised insurance professional.

REVIEW APPROACH

Australian context is reviewed separately from UK content

Australian terminology, insurance structures, regulatory references and jurisdiction-specific arrangements are checked for Australian relevance. Where a topic varies by state or territory, the guide should say so rather than imply a single national rule.

SOURCES

Use primary and authoritative sources where they materially improve accuracy

Depending on the subject, sources may include ASIC, APRA, Safe Work Australia, Australian Government and state or territory authorities, official scheme information, legislation, recognised standards, professional bodies and insurer or market documentation. DIBNI does not invent credentials, regulatory status or quotations to strengthen a page.

UPDATES & CORRECTIONS

Material changes should be reflected in the content

A review date means the page has been substantively checked. DIBNI does not add a current review date to untouched legacy material. Where an error or outdated jurisdictional reference is identified, the content should be corrected, withdrawn from indexing or replaced by a more appropriate Australian authority page.

REGULATORY BOUNDARY

Information is not financial product advice

DIBNI Australia acts as an introducer and does not present its editorial content as financial product advice. The regulatory status, authorisations, advice and services of any insurance professional involved in an introduction should be confirmed with that professional.
